A samosa is a common snack in countries such as India, Tanzania and Pakistan. It consists of a fried triangular pastry shell containing vegetarian filling made with potato, onion, green peas and mince meat which is optional it can also be filled with chicken or vegitables only.
Ingriednts
For the dough
2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons oil
1 cup water
vegtable for frying
1/2 cup of spices curry(optinal )
For the filling
1 potatoe cut in cubes
1/2 cup of green peas cooked
1 onion diced
2 teaspoons of minced ginger
2 teaspoons of garlic
2 hot green peppers minced
1/2 teaspoon tumeric
Salt to taste
2 cups mice meat (optional)
Method
1. Take dough and fold into small balls the size of your hand
2. Take the small balls and roll them out using a rolling pin, try and roll it round (into a chapatti).
3. Fry chapatti into a pan, without oil, make sure the heat from stove is medium not too hot and not too low. fry chapatti on one side only for a few seconds till it is slightly brown and remove from stove
4. Cut the chapatti in half
5.Fold the one half of the chapatti into a triangle, leaving one side of he triangle open to put the filling in
6.Fill the triangle samosa with filling and close with glue
(mix 1 cup of flour and and 1/2 cup of water mix well )
7.Fry samosa in oil untill gold brown remove and let it cool
